About me…let’s see.
My husband and I are Bible believing Christains that enjoy going to our small, but friendly church. We still enjoy getting together with people for our old church, but we feel more “fed” at our new church!
I have been happily married to my husband for almost 4 years now (December 11th) and the mother to 2 beautiful girls (no…I’m not biased at all)). Daughter #1 is 2 1/2 and Daughter #2 is 5 months old. We live in Southern New Hampshire, where my husband is the bread winner of our family. He works with a friend landscaping in the summer, snowplowing in the winter, carpentry whenever he can get the work, and a part-time postal employee. He is very busy, yet he finds time to hunt, work on his truck and our car, and do other odds and ends.
His 3 brothers and him like to get together once a week and every other week it is in our tiny one bedroom apartment. It used to bother me when they first started, but after this going on for at least 2 years, I don’t mind at all. I love cooking now and it gives me several guniea pigs to try my new recipes on. Back when we were first married, who knows how many times my poor husband ate the same meals over and over and over and…well you get the idea. Anyway, I try to break up the routine.
I am constantly trying to keep our budget down, especially now when we are trying to save for a down payment. I make our bread every other week, since the recipe is big. I love the smell of fresh baked bread and the day that I make it, usually a whole loaf is eaten. Another penny pinching solution is the fact that I make my own baby wipes. Thanks to my sister, who is in her 3rd year in college, I have a recipe for them. I use Viva paper towels only. I can’t stand other brands…although I haven’t tried Bounty, but since Viva is cheaper, I’ll stick with what I like! I will add the recipe to my blog soon, so that if anyone wants to try them, you can.
Daughter #1 is finally potty trained and sings her ABC’s. She can count and recognizes 15 of the 26 letters of the alphabet consistantly. Now I am working with her on the letter sounds and recognizing numbers.
For me, I help out my mom at some craft fairs and try my hand at creating my own crafts as well. I am becoming a Pampered Chef consultant this week and can’t wait. I am trying for at least one show a week, maybe two, but I don’t want it to become my whole life and not spend time with my family.
I guess that is about it for now. I will keep adding to my About Me page as I think of things.
God Bless.
